2016 Old Vine Zinfandel

Gold Medal WinnerGold Medal Winner, SF Chronicle Wine Competition

We are thrilled with our 2016 Old Vine Zinfandel which received the
San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition’s GOLD medal!

This is a beautiful, smooth Zin that pairs well with all of our favorite foods, spicy and mild. Hand-harvested in the cool temperatures of early morning, then aged 16 months in French oak, this Zin spent another year in our cellar before release.  Our grapes thrive in the red, rocky soil of Nuns Canyon Vineyard. We think it’s the best place to grow Zinfandel — Bar None! Seems the experts agree…  Cheers

2015 Old Vine Zinfandel

Silver Medal WinnerSilver Medal Winner, SF Chronicle Wine Competition

We are proud of our 2015 harvest which produced another bold, jammy Zinfandel. This hearty red wine beautifully complements our favorite cuisines… Californian, Italian, Persian, and of course, chocolate.

The grapes are always picked by hand and harvested in the cool temperatures of early morning. After 16 months in French Oak, the wine is bottled and then aged in our cellar. We salute our winemaker, Mike Duffy of Optima Winery, who masterfully took this wine from barrel to bottle.

We hope you will enjoy this Zin today, and as it continues to evolve… until about 2022. (Our stash will be long gone by then. Cheers!)

2013 Old Vine Zinfandel

This vintage produced a bold, jammy Zinfandel with velvety tannins and a smooth finish. It’s a delicious wine that goes well with almost everything, e.g., linguine al pesto, chili con carne, bouillabaisse de Marseilles – or with chocolate. Or whenever you have a hankering for a hearty Zin.

The grapes are always picked by hand, and harvested in the early morning while it’s still cool. After 15 months in French oak, the wine is bottled and then aged for another two years.

We salute our winemaker, Phil Staehle of Enkidu Winery, who masterfully took this wine from barrel to bottle.

We hope you will enjoy this Zinfandel today, and as it continues to evolve… until about 2021.
